Weight loss is something many people strive to achieve, but that’s not to say it’s the easiest of tasks – particularly in the countdown to Christmas. However, TV star and model, Kelly Brook, has revealed she slimmed by 15 pounds between September and December this year. And, speaking exclusively to, the 39-year-old said: “It’s been really quick but I was so ready for it and I was so focused. It’s just been so easy.” So how has she reached her slimming goals?

Kelly credits the new SlimFast Advanced Vitality 4 in 1 Action weight loss sachets and capsules for her trimmer figure.

Explaining she had slimmed down from a size 16 to a size 12 in a matter of months, Kelly revealed how her weight loss journey was supported by SlimFast.

She continued: “It reduces sugar consumption and fat absorption, and more than anything, it stops me wanting to overeat – which is what I was doing for a long time. I was just piling on the pounds gradually to the point where I got to the top end of my BMI.”

The Loose Women star said of the sachets: “I mix one orange and mango flavour sachet into a glass of water 15 minutes before each mealtime followed by another glass of water straight afterwards.

“It tastes great, a bit like a fruit squash drink and the active ingredients combine to make me feel fuller – which means I naturally eat less.

“It also helps to curbs my cravings and I’ve noticed I just don’t think about treats and snacks as much as I normally would do.”

As well as trying out a combination of the sachets and capsules, Kelly also altered her eating habits.

Discussing the change in her meals before starting her weight loss journey, and after, she spilled how she had been opting for healthier salads in recent months.

She told “I’ve been cutting out a lot of sugar, so I’ve been doing healthy salads. Yoghurt and fruit with nuts and honey in the mornings, then a caesar salad, then fish for dinner.”

Kelly also revealed that she goes running for around 45 minutes, three or four times a week, adding: “I just felt that that really helped with my blood circulation, I felt more energised, my skin got a lot better.

“I think that, combined with SlimFast, has just been what’s really helped me get back to my best in a really short amount of time really, it’s just been brilliant.”

What’s more, Kelly said controlling the portion sizes of her meals had helped her to shed the pounds.

“I’d cook like a lasagne, but I wouldn’t just have a bit, I’d cook like a tray,” she spilled. “So Jeremy [Parisi, her boyfriend] and I could easily finish a tray of lasagne in a couple of days.

“Whereas now we wouldn’t do that. I wouldn’t cook in bulk like that, because I know we’re not going to get through it.”

Another way to watch your weight in the New Year could be to give up – or reduce – your alcohol intake.

While toasting to the New Year with a favourite tipple is something many people enjoy doing, it could be worth remembering the high amount of calories which are in these drinks.

For instance, a large glass of wine can contain in excess of 200 calories.
